My son is super curious about cars, so I thought I’d show him how to change the oil in our Jeep Renegade. I don’t have the manual, however, so I’m not sure what oil I need. What is the oil type for a 2018 Jeep Renegade?

’s oil type is either SAE 5W-40 or SAE 0W-20, depending on what’s under the hood.If you have the 1.4-liter Renegade, you’ll need four quarts of 5W-40 motor oil. However, if you have the 2.4-liter Renegade, you’re going to need 5.5 quarts of 0W-20 motor oil. Full synthetic is preferred, as it will improve performance and fuel economy.
