’s oil type is SAE 5W-20. RAM recommends fully synthetic motor oil for peak performance and improved fuel economy, although a blend will also work in a pinch.The amount of oil you need for an oil change will vary depending on the engine under the hood:
- 5.9 quarts for the 3.6-liter V-6
- 7 quarts for the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8
- 10.6 quarts for the 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6
