What is the 2017 Jeep Wrangler’s oil type?

I have a 2017 Wrangler that I love to take off-roading. I put some heavy miles on it when I’m rock crawling, so I want to change the oil regularly to keep performance high. What type of oil do I need for a 2017 Jeep Wrangler?

If you want to keep your ride off-road capable, the 2017
Jeep Wrangler
’s oil type is SAE 5W-20. To do a proper oil change, you’re going to need six quarts of motor oil. While Jeep recommends full synthetic motor oil to maintain fuel economy and peak performance, you can also use a blend or conventional oil depending on your budget.
By using full synthetic, you not only improve performance, but you also get around 7,500 miles between oil changes. For the slight increase in price, full synthetic might actually be the biggest bargain.
