oil type is 5W-40 oil.Volkswagen suggests the use of full synthetic motor oil to get peak performance and acceleration, as well as fuel economy. However, you can also use conventional oil or a blend if money is a bit tight.
You will need 4.25 quarts to change your oil. Just make sure to dispose of the old motor oil properly at either a recycling center or an auto repair shop.
