What is the 2011 Scion xB oil type?

My partner has a 2011 Scion xB and wants me to start doing the oil changes. What type of oil do I need to buy?

A 2011
Scion xB’s
oil type is either 0W-20 or 5W-20 motor oil. However, if you’re looking for good fuel economy and engine performance in the cold, opt for an SAE motor oil like Mobil 1 Advanced Synthetic Motor Oil 5W-20.
While you can use conventional oil, synthetic oil will provide better performance and extend the interval between oil changes.
Once you’re done changing the oil on your Scion, consider checking off a few other maintenance items.
Every 5,000 miles:
  • Check floor mats
  • Inspect brake drums and linings
  • Inspect brake pads
  • Inspect disc brakes
  • Rotate tires
If you’re looking to save money on car expenses, doing maintenance yourself is a great idea—but don’t skimp on it! If you want another way to save, shop for car insurance with
