What is the 2011 Nissan Altima oil type?

I have some extra oil for my Civic in my trunk that I was going to use in my boyfriend’s 2011 Nissan Altima, but I’m not sure if we use the same type. What kind of oil does his car use?

A great partner you are! The 2011
Nissan Altima
oil type is 5W-30 oil. You can find this information on the oil cap in your car’s engine or the owner’s manual.
Getting regular oil changes for your car—generally, every 3,000 to 5,000 miles—is imperative for your car’s health. It’s also a good idea to periodically check the oil levels in your tank in between changes. If you keep oil on hand, you can top off your tank if you’re running low.
