What is the 2009 Ford Taurus oil type?

My grandfather has a 2009 Ford Taurus, and I want to do the oil changes to save him the hassle of going to the mechanic. What kind of oil does it use?

Doing oil changes yourself saves both time and money on car expenses. The 2009
Ford Taurus’s
oil type is Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil or any type of 5W-20 synthetic oil.
Compared to conventional blends, synthetic oil promotes better fuel economy and engine performance and is preferable in your Ford.
On top of changing the oil, you may also want to check out the following maintenance items:
  • Change oil filter
  • Rotate tires and inspect for damage and wear
  • Check fluid levels
  • Check function of all interior and exterior lights
  • Test battery
  • Perform multi-point inspection
Learning the skills to do basic maintenance on your vehicle is a great way to reduce car expenses—but you can also reduce them when you shop for car insurance with
