What is passing in driving?

I just started taking classroom courses for driving. While I understand most of what the instructor is saying, the courses are all online, so I don’t have the opportunity to ask questions. What is passing in driving?

Online classes can make learning tricky, but we’ve got you covered! Passing in driving is when you enter another lane to go by another slower motorist.
Comfortably passing another car is a science. Here are some tips to do it correctly and avoid an accident:
  • Only pass in a passing zone. This means that the center lines should be dotted, not solid.
  • Pass cars on the left; never pass a car in the right lane.
  • Always use your turn signal to let other drivers know your intentions.
  • Don’t excessively speed to pass another motorist.
  • Always look in your mirrors and check your blind spot before you pass.
  • Move back into the original lane, but only once you can see the car you passed completely in the rearview mirror.
Once you’ve passed your coursework and all the exams, a driver’s license is right around the corner. Just make sure to use the
