Honda’s certified pre-owned warranty includes powertrain coverage for seven years or 100,000 miles and non-powertrain coverage for 12 months or 12,000 miles. But what does this mean?
Basically, Honda will cover most necessary repairs that are not due to an accident or other external cause for the first 12 months of vehicle ownership. Once your vehicle reaches one year old, though, you’ll be responsible for any repairs to anything other than the powertrain.
After this point, the only repairs covered under warranty will be repairs to the powertrain. The powertrain warranty covers things like the:
- Engine
- Transmission
- Front- and rear-wheel-drive systems
- Transfer case
