What is FSD in Tesla electric cars?

Tesla is doing some interesting things with their vehicles. I have heard of FWD (Front Wheel Drive) but what is FSD in Tesla electric cars?

Tesla is definitely a step ahead in the electric car and technology game. FSD actually refers to “Full Self Driving” vehicle technology which is one of the upgrades on Tesla’s standard Autopilot system.
All Teslas come with a standard Autopilot feature, the company has Enhanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving features as upgrades. While each system is meant to help make driving easier, none of them are autonomous in that they still require the driver to be conscious with their hands on the wheel. We’ve listed the features of each system below.
Autopilot
  • Autosteer steering assistance to help keep your vehicle in the center of the lane
  • Traffic-Aware Cruise Control: matches your speed to other vehicles in surrounding traffic
Enhanced Autopilot
  • Autopark parking assistance for parallel and regular parking, at the touch of a button.
  • Summon and Smart Summon car can navigate in and out of difficult spaces as well as drive to you in a parking lot.
  • Auto Lane Change coupled with Autosteer, this feature helps to switch lanes on the highway.
Full Self Driving (Includes all the features of Autopilot and Enhanced Autopilot)
  • **Stop Light and Stop Sign Control **: the vehicle will recognize stop signs and traffic lights and automatically begin to slow down.
  • Autosteer on city streets: this is an upcoming feature
Recently, Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, announced that prices for the FSD will raise to $15,000, but those who buy before September 5, 2022, will get it for the original $12,000.
