I was shopping for insurance last night for my little pickup truck and came across the term bobtail insurance. What is that and who is it for?

- After the truck has delivered a load to its destination
- Has no return cargo
- Is in transit between particular destinations

policy for a private passenger truck, this type of insurance wouldn’t apply. You would be able to acquire insurance from a standard carrier. However, if you’re a long-haul truck driver, bobtail insurance is a liability policy
