What is an HOA statement?

My neighbor said she saw an HOA statement taped to my door the other day, but I never saw anything. I don't even know what an HOA statement is, what should I be looking for?

An HOA (homeowners association) statement is basically a bill. If you don’t see it and it doesn’t sound like your neighbor received one, so contact your HOA and ask for another copy.
Each HOA is different; some issue a monthly bill to all residents for the HOA payment and any other shared assessments. If only you received one, it is probably a bill for a past due amount or a possible fine or warning for a violation.
Associations can send a past due bill to a collection or even take you to court, so contact them right away. One way to get caught up on bills is by downloading the
