What is a Honda lawn mower’s oil type?

I found a great deal on a used Honda lawn mower at an estate sale, but there wasn’t an owner’s guide. What kind of motor oil does a Honda lawn mower take?

A
Honda
lawn mower’s oil type is SAE 10W-30 motor oil. Most newer mowers use that type, too. Older mowers might do best with SAE 30 motor oil, though.
If you’re in a pinch to get yard work done, Honda suggests you can use the following oil types in certain weather conditions:
  • 50° to 100° F: SAE 30
  • 25° to 60° F: 5W-30 oil
  • 60° to 105° F: 10W-30
