I want to buy a used Civic, and I’ve heard good things about getting a certified used car from Honda because of the warranty that comes with it. What is the Honda certified used car warranty?

The
Honda
certified used car warranty has two tiers, with a slight difference in policies depending on the car’s age and mileage.- The HondaTrue Certified+ warranty, which can be applied to 2021 and 2022 models with less than 12,000 miles since their original in-service date
- The HondaTrue Certified warranty, which can be applied to 2017 to 2022 models that have more than 12,000 miles from the original in-service date
Both warranty programs include:
- 7-year, 100,000-mile powertrain coverage
- Roadside assistance
- Up to two complimentary oil changes
- A $0 repair deductible
The main difference between the two is the non-powertrain warranty, which covers your car’s other mechanical components. For cars in the HondaTrue Certified+ program, buyers can get a five-year, 86,000-mile non-powertrain warranty. For HondaTrue Certified vehicles, you can get a four-year, 48,000-mile non-powertrain warranty if the car still falls within the new vehicle warranty period.
If you purchase the car after the new vehicle warranty expires, Honda will provide a one-year, 10,000-mile non-powertrain warranty.
