What is a Hennessey VelociRaptor?
I’m really into big trucks, and I keep hearing about one called the Hennessey VelociRaptor. I’ve seen pictures, but what exactly is it?

The Hennessey VelociRaptor is what you get when the guys at Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) get a hold of a Ford F-150 Raptor. Described as “pure aggression on wheels” by an HPE spokesperson, this beast is capable of 558 hp and returns 672 lb-ft of torque.
HPE produces a limited number of VelociRaptors per year, and these are just a few of their modifications:
- High-Flow Air Induction System
- Air-to-air front-mounted intercooler and intercooler piping upgrade
- Upgraded engine management software
- VelociRaptor front and rear bumpers
- 20-inch Hennessey wheels with 35-inch off-road tires
- 3-inches overall lift and front suspension leveling kit
The VelociRaptor moniker was once reserved only for F-150 Raptor modifications, but HPE expanded their lineup in recent years to include F-250s, F-350s and Rangers, and the 2022 model year sees the addition of the VelociRaptor 400 Bronco.
