This is a great question—car wash detergent or car wash soap is always what you should use to wash your car, as these solutions will not contain chemicals or other ingredients that can potentially damage your vehicle.
While there are many car wash detergents to choose from, we’ll outline what we believe to be the top three best car wash soaps in 2022:
- Meguiar’s G17701 Ultimate Wash & Wax: with 4.8 stars, Meguiar’s is the top-rated car wash detergent and is well-loved by many. It promises a neutral pH and won’t leave water spots or streaks on your vehicle. Available on Amazon for $35.
- Adam’s Car Wash Shampoo: with a 4.7-star rating, this car wash detergent also has a balanced pH and won’t leave major water spots behind. Available on Amazon for $34.
- Chemical Guys CWS_402_64 Mr. Pink Foaming Car Wash Soap: also coming in with a 4.7-star rating, this formula has a high concentration, so you’ll get many uses out of a single bottle. It does, however, leave behind more water streaks than the others but is also cheaper at $20 for a gallon.
