A Buick
disposition fee is intended to be used once you’ve returned a vehicle at the end of its lease for cleaning and other preparations so it can be offered for sale or lease again. How much a disposition fee costs can vary depending on the dealership, location, and the vehicle type you rent. The average disposition fee falls between $300 and $400, according to Edmunds.
There are a few instances where you might not have to pay a Buick disposition fee for your leased vehicle. For example, GM Financial will typically waive disposition fees if you buy or lease another new GM vehicle—Buick or otherwise—after your current lease comes to an end. Outside those circumstances, however, they typically can’t be waived.
It sounds like you might have already found this section, but in case you need a reminder, according to GM Financial, section 4 of your lease agreement is where you should be able to find details regarding the cost of your disposition fee.
If you have additional questions about your Buick disposition fee, you can always contact your dealership or GM Financial’s customer service.
One last thing as you’re going over the details of that lease: make sure your leased Buick is covered by the right car insurance
policy!
