What happens if you're caught driving with a permit?

What would happen if I got caught driving by myself with a provisional learner’s permit instead of a license? I know we’re not supposed to do that in Illinois, but I’m curious about how serious the consequences could be.

The consequences are pretty serious if you’re caught driving alone with a
learner’s permit
rather than a full license.
Some things that could happen include:
  • A revocation of your learner’s permit
  • Fines
  • A suspension of when you’re allowed to get your license
Since you risk a lot by driving without a full license, it’s best to always have at least one passenger who is over the age of 21. This person can also help you perfect your driving while you’re on the learning curve by giving you pointers and tips.
When you do get your license, you should make sure that you’re protected by a good car insurance policy. The
