What happens if your Turo car breaks down?

I want to rent a car through Turo for a road trip, but I'm not sure what happens if we break down. Does Turo offer roadside assistance?

Turo
does offer roadside assistance, but they only cover the cost of the dispatch. After that, either the owner or the driver will have to pay for other services.
If the car was improperly maintained or mechanically unsound, the host/owner is liable. If the car was damaged due to carelessness or a violation of Turo policy, you have to pay for the services.
To avoid these issues, you may want to get a
AAA
membership or
insurance
policy. This will help you get a tow to the nearest repair shop without the hassle of going through an intermediary or fighting with the host.
