What happens if I lost my car insurance card?
I misplaced my car insurance card. I'm worried about someone else using it or other problems that may arise. What should I do if I lost my insurance card?
“If you’ve lost your car insurance card, don’t worry too much. No one else could use it without your VIN or ID. Just contact your car insurance company for a replacement.
As a failsafe, use a digital copy. Most car insurance companies offer digital copies. Just download it to your phone so you always have one in case you lose the paper one.”
