What gas type does a Lexus take?

I recently purchased a Lexus—it is my first car and, subsequently, my first Lexus vehicle as well. I’m going to go to the gas station to fill up the tank soon, but I don’t know what fuel it uses. What kind of gas does a Lexus take?

Generally speaking, the type of gas your
Lexus
takes will depend on the vehicle model/submodel and model year. Without that, we can’t tell you for sure which gasoline to use, though most newer Lexus vehicles take premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 91.
Exceptions to this include the Lexus RX 350, RX 350i, ES 350, and a few other models, all of which can get by with standard gasoline. That said, these models can use premium unleaded fuel—they just don’t require it.
Using the wrong fuel can seriously damage your Lexus engine, which is why you should always consult your owner’s manual for the manufacturer’s recommendation if you are unsure of which kind of gasoline to use.
