What engine is in a Toyota RAV4?

Is the Toyota RAV4 a good car for me if I need to tow my boat around a lot? I go fishing pretty often in the summer, so I want to make sure that the RAV4 can handle it before I buy one.

The engine in a Toyota RAV4 is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder DOHC that provides 203 horsepower. So, without any upgrades, the RAV4 base model can tow up to 1,500 pounds.
This may be enough for a small fishing boat, but you should check your trailer’s weight before committing to a RAV4. If needed, you can tow more by choosing a higher-level Toyota RAV4 trim.
The Adventure and TRD Off-Road trim options can haul up to 3,500 pounds. However, this still isn’t enough to tow a large boat. If you need more power, you should choose a different vehicle.
