What engine is in a Pontiac G6?

Does the Pontiac G6 have a good engine? I want to buy a used G6 from 2007 that I found online, but I’m not sure what type of engine it has, so I don’t know if it’s the right car for me or not.

For the 2007 model year, the engine in a
Pontiac G6
depends on the trim. Four options were available:
  • A 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder (base model)
  • A 3.5-liter V6
  • A 3.6-liter V6
  • A 3.9-liter V6
Each of these engines is more powerful than the last, but you’ll need to contact the seller to learn more about which engine can be found in the used vehicle you’ve selected. While you’re at it, make sure to check for any issues with the car.
While Pontiac is generally a pretty reliable brand, older vehicles are more likely to have issues than newer ones. As such, getting the G6 inspected before purchasing it is probably a good idea.
