What engine is in a Dodge Challenger SXT?

I’ve been trying to decide between the Challenger SXT and the Challenger R/T for a while now, and I’m not sure if the R/T is more powerful or not. Does the SXT have a powerful engine?

The 2021
Dodge Challenger SXT
comes equipped with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. This gives the car 305 horsepower, a top speed of 199 MPH, and a shockingly fast 0 to 60 time of 3.4 seconds.
The
Challenger R/T
is equipped with a more powerful 5.7-liter V8 engine. As a result, it has 372 horsepower at its disposal. However, the R/T’s top speed is just 4MPH faster than that of the SXT, with the R/T clocking in at 203 MPH, and its 0 to 60 time is the same as its counterpart.
The main difference between these two models is the tech features available with various trim options, not the actual power offered by the engines. If your main point of comparison is the overall speed and road performance of each vehicle, the cheaper SXT is probably the way to go.
Once you’ve found the perfect Dodge Challenger, it’s time to choose an insurance policy. This process can be long and frustrating, but
