What engine is in a Dodge Caliber?
I had never heard of the Dodge Caliber before I found a listing online recently, and now I’m considering buying one. I just want to make sure that the engine is powerful enough before I buy it! Does the Caliber have a powerful engine?

Part of the reason that you may not have heard of the Caliber before is that it was discontinued after 2012. The 2012
Dodge Caliber
only has one engine option: the 2.0-liter I-4 engine. It can achieve 158 horsepower and a top speed of 155 MPH.If you’re looking at an older Caliber model, however, you may find a different engine type. The 2010 model comes with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, for example, while the 2008 model year has four different four-cylinder engine options.
Overall, the Caliber has a good reliability rating and decently powerful engines, especially given its age. With that being said, older cars tend to have more issues than newer ones, so it’s still a good idea to check over the vehicle thoroughly before deciding whether or not to purchase it.
