What does the tow company do when their truck gets stuck in the mud getting my car out of the ditch?

"What happens if the tow truck pulling my car out of a ditch also got stuck? My car is in the ditch and the tow truck is stuck in the mud trying to get me out."

“Don’t worry! They will dispatch another vehicle capable of towing, winching, or otherwise extricating both their vehicle and your vehicle from the mud.
The driver of the stuck tow truck will contact the tow company to explain what additional or specialized equipment might be required.
Most road service providers (like AAA) do not cover charges when the tow truck must leave the roadway to extract the vehicle.”
