What does the Nissan bumper-to-bumper warranty cover?

I have my heart set on buying a Nissan and a friend told me that I’d be getting a bumper-to-bumper warranty. What is that?

A
Nissan
bumper-to-bumper warranty is known as a limited warranty and it covers defective components in your vehicle. The warranty will last for three years or for 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The bumper-to-bumper warranty does not cover components that are broken as a result of:
  • An accident
  • Misuse
  • Vandalism
Outside of your Nissan limited warranty, you’ll also receive a powertrain warranty. This type of warranty is specific to your engine and transmission and you can expect it to last five years or up to 60,000 miles. If you’re looking to make your Nissan limited warranty last longer you can generally purchase an
extended warranty
that lasts eight years.
Having a warranty is nice, but you’ll need excellent car insurance if you want to make sure your car is protected no matter what.
