What does the Honda limited warranty cover?

I bought a Honda CR-V recently and it came with the Honda limited warranty. How long will my warranty last, and what does it cover?

The Honda limited warranty covers nearly every component in your car that is found to be defective due to a manufacturing mistake. The most notable exceptions are the car’s transmission and engine, which are covered in a separate powertrain warranty.
Your
Honda
limited warranty will last either three years or 36,000 miles, whichever threshold is reached first. It will not cover components that are damaged as a result of:
  • Misuse
  • Vandalism
  • Accidents
Your Honda’s powertrain warranty usually lasts longer—either five years or 60,000 miles. The only way to increase the length of your warranty is to pay a monthly fee for an extended warranty.
Honda Care’s extended warranty lasts for eight years or 120,000 miles. You’ll have the option to purchase an extended warranty that covers bumper-to-bumper defective components, much like the Honda limited warranty you got when you first purchased your car.
Having a warranty is good, but having great car insurance is even more important. If you want to make sure your car is covered but are tired of overspending to do it, you should download the
