What does restomod mean?

My brother (who is way more into cars than me) keeps throwing around the term ‘restomod’ in conversation. He’d be so annoying about it if I asked him what it meant. What does restomod mean?

A restomod means a classic car that has been restored using modern parts and technology. The word is a combination of the words “restoration” and “modified.”
A restomod isn’t some cyberpunk, spliced monstrosity, however. Restomod cars look exactly like a restored classic car until you open the hood or start fiddling with the dials.
Those who pursue restomods want to maintain the look of their classic car, while upgrading its performance, safety, and convenience features.
Restomods won’t win any classic car competitions, but are a great way to enjoy a classic look with more modern amenities.
