What does my renters insurance not cover?

I’m moving out sometime this year and plan on buying renters insurance. In case I require additional coverage, I'd like to know what is and isn't covered by renters insurance. What does renters insurance not cover?

Congrats on the big move—and purchasing renters insurance is a great first step to take!
Renters insurance does not cover damage caused by natural disasters (flooding, earthquakes, etc.) and pests, extremely expensive items, or the theft of your car. There are additional exceptions, but what renters insurance does and doesn’t cover will differ by policy.
Renters insurance
covers three areas, personal property coverage, liability coverage, and loss-of-use coverage.
A policy will protect you against any damage from
named perils
, medical expenses due to injuries on your property, and the cost of temporary living if your place becomes uninhabitable.
Since policies vary from insurer to insurer, be sure to shop around and compare coverage and rates from several different companies when looking for renters insurance.
If you want cheap renters insurance quotes fast, go to
Jerry
