Insurance provider MAPFRE has a telematics app called MotionSmart. It helps car owners track their driving habits, and based on the data the app shows, it can help them earn

discounts, too.An increasing number of insurance providers are offering drivers ways to save on their car insurance through telematics programs. What they track and how much you can save will vary from provider to provider. With MAPFRE, the MotionSmart telematics program can allow drivers to save up to 10% on their policies when they first sign up, and as much as 20% after their policy renews.
But just how steep that post-renewal policy discount will depend on what the data shows about your driving habits over the last period.
The app tracks data like braking, accelerating, and phone usage habits while you’re beyond the wheel, then shows you your stats. That real-time feedback can help you adopt safer driving habits in the long run, potentially reducing your risk for accidents.
