I was pulled over the other day for speeding and the officer gave me a warning ticket. What does a warning ticket look like? What does it mean when you get a warning ticket?

A warning ticket looks like a regular one, but it will have “Warning” written on it and no court information will be listed. A warning ticket means that you did something illegal (e.g. speeding), and the officer is letting you off with a warning instead of a citation or a fine.
Here’s some information on warning tickets:
They are not recorded on your driving record.
They do not affect your insurance premium.
Since you were pulled over, the officer is required to record the stop—so a warning ticket, even though it’s in writing, is nothing more than the officer’s way of saying “slow down next time.”
