I've always found Consumer Reports to be a reliable place for product reviews. Since I need a new car battery, this is probably a good place to start. What is the best car battery according to Consumer Reports?

“Consumer Reports is almost always a great place to start your product research, as you mentioned.
They review a wide range of prices, life spans, and other features when looking at products. They’re also dedicated to consumer advocacy to ensure consumers are protected while influencing how businesses deliver products and services.
Based on Consumer Reports independent research, here are the top car batteries:
  • Deka Intimidator
  • Bosch Premium Power S5
  • Duracell Ultra Platinum AGM
  • Optima YellowTop
  • Champion H6
While these are the overall best batteries, it’s always recommended to research products based on the type of vehicle you have.
If you want extra peace of mind, it’s always wise to prepare for the worst case scenario. Consider adding a roadside assistance plan to your policy to cover you should your battery ever fail.
