What do you do if a car breaks down in the middle of the night?
"I know I can get a tow, but where do I bring my car when everything is closed? My 1982 Mercury Capri is on its last leg. I am worried that it will break down on me in the middle of the night."

“Many mechanic shops have an overnight drop-off area for just this reason. There is usually an envelope where you fill out some contact information and a safe spot to leave your keys. Once the shop opens, they will contact you to discuss the situation.
Since you are aware that you may need a mechanic soon, it would be a good idea to call your local shops ahead of time. This way, you can see what their procedures are and know which location you would be comfortable dropping your vehicle off at when the time comes.
