What do the red indicators mean in the Cadillac CTS dash lights?
I sometimes see red symbols flash on the dash of my Cadillac CTS but don’t know what all of them mean. What does each of the red symbols stand for?
Answer provided by
There are a ton of indicator lights in a Cadillac’s dash, so it makes sense that you wouldn’t know them all.
Typically, the red indicator lights are warnings of more serious faults or issues happening. Let’s go over the red indicators of the Cadillac CTS dash lights:
- Charge system trouble indicator looks like a battery
- Brake trouble indicator will flash the word “BRAKE”
- Oil warning indicator looks like an oil can
- Engine temperature indicator shows a thermometer
- Airbag warning indicator looks like a passenger with a circular airbag in front of them
- Security indicator depicts a car with a large lock
- Electric park brake trouble indicator has a “På” surrounded by a circle with an image of a wrench under the circle
- Parking brake engaged or faulty indicator shows just a “P” in a circle
