What do the different colored dash lights mean on an Acura MDX?
I noticed the other day that the warning lights on my Acura MDX dashboard are different colors. Is there a color-coded system that is important to know or is it a style choice? What do the dash lights mean on an Acura MDX?

The lights of your dashboard indicators may match your car’s interior, but they are there for functionality rather than style!
Each color and indicator light indicates a different message. For the
Acura MDX
dash lights, you’ll typically see three different colors—green (can look blue), yellow (can look orange), and red. Green light indicators simply mean that one of your car systems has been activated. You’ll notice a green or blue light when you
turn on your headlights
, for example. Yellow lights show up as a warning, but it’s usually not something you have to immediately handle. Your
low fuel
light will show up as yellow, but this doesn’t mean you are actually out of gas. It just lets you know to stop soon. Red lights behind an indicator might mean a more serious warning that will need immediate attention. These can flash on if there is a problem with car components like your oil or battery, but a red light also shows up if you’re not wearing your seat belt. You can use your car’s owner’s manual to decipher the individual symbols if you’re not sure what one means.
