What do I need to know about the 2006 Acura TL Type S exhaust system?

My older Acura needs some new parts. I’m not very mechanically-oriented, so I need help understanding my options, especially since this car is a little older. What do I need to know about the 2006 Acura TL Type S exhaust system?

For a 2006
Acura TL Type-S
 exhaust system, you can swap in various universal fit upgrades for improvements in horsepower and efficiency.
If you need to replace worn-out or damaged parts, any universal fit or OE (Original Equipment) parts will suffice. Ask your mechanic to install a new muffler or catalytic converter.
If you want to make a performance-related upgrade, you may want to look at Borla or SLP for aggressive noise. Vibrant Performance makes an attractive black muffler and Cherry Bomb makes gorgeous red parts, if aesthetics are important to you.
2006 is old but not too old! Your TL should be able to accommodate most modern parts with no problem.
