What Do I Do If The Key For My Chevy Cruze Is Stuck In The Ignition?
Please help! I’ve been sitting in my driveway for an hour! I don’t understand what’s going on! I can get my car key out of the ignition for my Chevy Cruze. I haven’t had any car trouble or anything. Everything seemed normal. But when I went to remove my key, it was just stuck. What should I do if my Chevy Cruze key is stuck in the ignition?

is stuck in the ignition! That can be very frustrating. It could be caused by a number of things from a bent/damaged key to a steering lock. Fortunately, there are some things you can try that might help get it unstuck.While not exactly common, this issue does happen from time to time. ) being stuck in the ignition. Possible causes include:- Parking lock
- Steering lock
- Dead/dying battery
- Bent, damaged, or dirty key
The first thing you should do is make sure that your car is in park. Shift to drive and then back to park, just to be sure. If the key is still stuck after that, double-check that your battery has a charge. If your battery has too low a voltage, it could cause the key to become stuck.
After that, you can try gently wiggling the steering wheel back and forth to work some “give” into it. If the key is stuck due to the steering lock being on, this should get it loose.
If none of that has helped, try gently working the key back and forth to get it loose. Make sure not to force it, or you might make things worse. Just slowly move the key back and forth. If there is dirt or debris in the ignition, this should help loosen it.
