What do I do if my 2009 Honda Odyssey’s sliding door won’t open?
I have a 2009 Honda Odyssey, and the sliding door has recently gotten stuck. I can’t get it to open no matter what I do! What are my options for getting it to work again?
. Fortunately, fixing your Odyssey’s sliding door so it opens again should be pretty simple—especially if the door is stuck due to a blown fuse.
The fuse responsible for powering the sliding doors on an Odyssey is located in the engine compartment fuse box in location 10A. If the fuse is blown, replacing it should do the trick.
If the fuse isn’t the issue, make sure both your battery terminals are securely connected then perform a hard reset on your doors by following these steps:
Turn on the ignition
Push the power sliding door switch (on the left of the steering wheel) to the “Off” position
Then push the switch back to the “On” position
Press and hold both sliding door buttons until the doors close completely
If your doors still won’t open after attempting both of these simple fixes, it’s time to head to a Honda dealership or mechanic for a diagnosis.
