What do I do if my 2005 Chevy Uplander’s sliding door won’t open?
I am having trouble with the passenger sliding door of my 2005 Chevy Uplander not opening or closing with the power button. It still works manually, so it’s not totally stuck. What should I do?

Oh no! It’s definitely annoying when your vehicle’s buttons and functions aren’t working. When it comes to your 2005 Chevrolet Uplander’s sliding door, there could be a few root causes, though most of them are due to an electrical fault somewhere in the system.
For example, the motor that opens the sliding door could be dead. There could also be an issue with the motor switch itself. Either of these would prevent the button from opening the door but allow for manual operation.
Unless you’re a gearhead (or a very good electrician), your best bet is to take your Uplander straight into the Chevrolet dealership or a trusted mechanic. They will have the equipment needed to not only diagnose your issue but fix it as well. Hopefully, the problem is quite minor and easy to resolve!
