Sorry to hear about your door. Unfortunately, you’re not the only person to experience problems with a stuck sliding door on a Honda Odyssey. On the upside, though, there’s a good chance that it will take a simple fix to get your van door sliding again.
The first culprit we recommend checking is the door’s fuse. You’ll find it in your engine compartment fuse box. Check to see if it’s blown and simply replace it if so.
If it’s not the fuse, check the door tracks. Sometimes, these tracks can get gunked up and need a good cleaning and some lubrication to work properly again. But if neither the fuse nor the door tracks seem to be the issue, you’ll want to perform a hard reset. Here’s how:
- Start up your Odyssey.
- Find the power sliding door switch to the left of your steering wheel and turn it to the Off position.
- Then, turn the switch back to the On position.
- Press and hold both of your sliding door buttons.
If that doesn’t fix the issue, you should probably head to a professional service technician or your Honda dealership to handle the car repair.
