“Car insurance companies all offer a variety of discounts. Some common discounts are:
- good driving
- good student
- driving training
- owning a home
- having multiple policies
- being insured continuously
For you, you’d likely qualify for a military discount as well as a multi-vehicle discount with many carriers. You may also qualify for a senior discount.
To find out what discounts are available to you, you’ll want to look into a few different carriers. You should also confirm you’re receiving all the discounts you’re eligible for on your current policy.
If you aren’t already, you should consider becoming a member of USAA or another military focused group. You can save money by getting your insurance through them.
You can also look into AARP as they offer lower rates based on age.”
