What cars are expensive to tune-up?

Which cars are expensive to tune-up? I have a BMW and I'm not sure if it costs more to tune-up than other vehicles.

“In general, luxury cars (especially imports) are more expensive to tune up than other vehicles.
The reasons for this vary, but it’s due to a mix of having a specialized or trained mechanic doing the tune up, availability of parts, and the price of parts. The most expensive cars to tune up and maintain overall include:
  • BMW
  • Audi
  • Mercedes-Benz
  • Cadillac
  • Volvo
  • Chrysler
As you can see, five out of the six most expensive cars to tune up are luxury vehicles, and four out of six are foreign models. Furthermore, most used car warranties and car insurance don’t cover this maintenance, making it even more expensive.
While car insurance won’t cover basic repairs and tune-ups, it’s always a good idea to review your policy regularly to ensure you’re not overpaying.
