What can I do for a flat tire if I am alone at night with no spare?
If I got a flat tire on a dark road at night with no spare tire and there might be bears around, what are my options? Asking for a friend.

and roadside assistance through companies without realizing it. Check with your:- Car insurance
- Automotive warranty
- Credit card company
If you do not have roadside assistance—or worse yet—do not have a cellphone to contact someone for help, you should:
- Activate your hazard lights and attempt to safely move your vehicle out of the lane of travel if you are able to do so.
- Leave the hazard lights on and place a flag on the window. If you don’t have a flag in your car (like most people), you can use a shirt, a plastic bag, or anything that can be noticed in the wind.
- Walk to help if you are close to a city and/or services and in a well-lit, high-traffic area where you feel safe.
- Or wait for help if you are in an unlit, low-traffic area where you feel threatened—by bears or anything else!

emergency supplies
