What are the types of oil used in cars?
I've always been asked at the repair shop what type of oil I want during an oil change, but I usually let the mechanic choose. Now I'm curious. What's the difference between oils used in cars?

“Motor oil for cars comes in four main types:
- Conventional
- High-mileage
- Synthetic Blend
- Synthetic
Each of these oils come with their pros and cons, especially in terms of quality and price. Conventional and high-mileage oils are the cheapest, but provide only decent protection and lubrication. Synthetic and synthetic blends have added compounds that can help remove engine buildup, reduce grime, and offer better overall performance.
