What are the trim levels for a Kia Optima?
I finally decided that I wanted to buy a Kia Optima, only to realize that I still have to pick a trim. What trim options are available and what are the differences between them?

The Kia Optima has long been a favorite of drivers thanks to ample space and general reliability. There are four trims for the Kia Optima: the LS, S, EX, and SX. Although Kias may not be flashy, Optima’s wide range of customization options means that there is something for everybody.
Known now as the K5, the last model branded as the Kia Optima was the 2020 release. Outside of the two hybrid options available, there were
four trim options
for consumers to choose between:- LS: The most affordable of the bunch, but with just the baseline engine and little in the way of extra features, it might not appeal to every driver.
- S: Offers a little more in the way of goodies but still pales in comparison to the higher trims.
- EX: This is where the Optima gets interesting! The upgraded engine drastically increases performance, making for a thrilling driving experience.
- SX: The SX also includes an upgraded engine along with features such as a sunroof and a heatedsteering wheel.
Since the Optima technically hasn’t been in production since 2020, you’ll likely have to buy a used model of the car. This could hinder your ability to purchase exactly the trim you like, although you’ll have a chance if you’re lucky enough to find one for sale in your area.
