What are the most stolen cars in Atlanta?
I moved from Macon to Atlanta and I’m loving it so far. Crime isn’t as big of an issue as I thought. However, car thefts have gone up quite a bit in the last year or so. To make sure that I’m not a target, what are some of the most stolen cars in Atlanta?

Unfortunately, the Atlanta Police Department does not release specific makes and models of car thefts. Interestingly, the police estimate that 60% of auto thefts occur because the keys are in the ignition. With that said, the most stolen cars in Atlanta are likely to mirror those most stolen in Georgia:

- 2020Toyota Camry
- 2019Dodge Charger
- 2020Toyota Corolla
- 2019Jeep Cherokee

If you want to prevent or deter the theft of your car, consider:
- Parking in a well-lit area
- Installing a dashcam
- Buying an aftermarket anti-theft device
