What are the best years for the Lexus GX 470?
I’m looking for a luxury SUV to take on camping trips. But since I’ll be using it for pretty utilitarian purposes, I don’t want to spend a lot of money on a new one. I’ve heard good things about the Lexus GX 470—do you know what the best years to look for in a used one are?

Lexus GX 470
was the 2009 model year. This handsome mid size SUV was sold between 2003 and 2009, but not all model years are the same! The general consensus is that 2005 to 2009 are the years to look for, with several reviewers favoring the 2009 year as the very best of the bunch.
Not only was the 2009 year found to be one of the more comfortable iterations as far as the interior goes, it’s also considered to be the most reliable. And for both a used car and a car for outdoor adventures, reliability is key!
