What are the best things to do in Texas?
I’m a history buff, so I love learning about the interesting, unique, and bizarre history of Texas. I want to visit this summer, but I’m not exactly sure what I should do. If I love history and weird attractions, what are some of the best things to do in Texas?

- Go to Austin. With a city slogan like “Keep Austin Weird,” you’re sure to find something that appeals to you.
- Visit Newman’s Castle in Bellville, which is a medieval castle owned by a bakery owner. You can’t make that stuff up. Admission is $20.
- Head to the National Museum of Funeral History in Houston, which certainly pairs history with the strange and macabre.
- See the mysterious Marfa Lights, which are glowing orbs that float through the night sky over the desert town of Marfa.
