I moved to a new area that gets a lot of snow in the winter, and I’m a little nervous about driving in it with my sporty compact car. I think I need to get some snow tires, but can you tell me what the best snow tires are for a Subaru WRX?

The Subaru WRX can certainly bring some driving excitement, but hydroplaning on ice is probably not the type you’d prefer.

According to Consumer Reports, *the best performance snow tire for the Subaru WRX is the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 or the Hankook Winter Icept Evo 3**.

For a rally-inspired car like the WRX, getting some performance snow tires put on can mean that you can continue to drive it in harsh winter conditions, versus having to switch to an SUV for the season. And since it’s a Subaru, you’ll also have the advantage of all-wheel drive, which is key to getting good traction in the snow.

And if you’ve moved to another state, don’t forget to update your car insurance! Adding a roadside assistance plan like towing and labor coverage may be a good idea if you’re worried about getting stuck on the road in winter conditions!
